SAFETY AUDIT PROCEDURES
-
Audits provide an assessment of the current state (effectiveness) of an organization's health and safety program and will identify specific areas where improvements to the system can be made. These audits can also support a company who believes their organization is ready to be independently audited to achieve COR® Certification within the program mandate. The program is monitored by both internal audits and external audits.
Upon successful completion and passing of an NSA audit, a company may apply for program certification. An external audit must be conducted by an accredited safety person whose credentials are approved by the NSA program. The company must pass this audit before they can receive a Certificate of Recognition and COR™ status.
